Research shows that access to quality early childhood education and care helps to set children on a positive life trajectory for their future schooling and their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
We currently have 18 children on scholarships funded by staff, families and supporters at SDN. However, we still have another 17 children waiting for scholarships for 2018. Each scholarship covers the gap between Child Care Benefit (CCB) and the standard fee. The scholarships enable children between 3 and 5 to attend their local SDN centre three days a week for one year.
Your donation will help us to reduce the financial barriers that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families can face in accessing early education and care.
